About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details a contract opportunity for the 21st Civil Engineer Squadron at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station to repair and modify Harsh Environment Uninterruptible Power Supply (HEU) Lighting Inverters. The specific requirements include repairing two of seven nonfunctioning HEU lighting inverters manufactured by Crucial Power Products (Model HU3.0R2500N1-VA), replacing eight 12VDC batteries in all seven units, and reprogramming the inverters to operate in normal mode during standard conditions and switch to emergency mode upon power loss.
The project requires licensed electricians with practical knowledge of Crucial Power Products UPS systems, particularly the HU Cabinet model. Contractors must navigate strict access protocols for the restricted facility, including completing visitor requests, background checks, and coordinating with Cheyenne Mountain Control Center. The work must comply with safety regulations, hazardous material handling procedures, and environmental guidelines. Upon completion, the contractor must provide comprehensive documentation including maintenance reports, test results, and updated AutoCAD drawings, all of which become property of the US Government.
