Performance Work Statement – Drone Training Services
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) dated 17 March 2026 describes drone training services to be provided to the 301st Rescue Squadron at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. The contractor shall deliver comprehensive Group 2 Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) target training to instruct HH-60W aircrews in tactics for countering small, high-speed aerial threats. The contract requires the contractor to provide four Group 2 UAS targets capable of sustained flight at 100-120 knots indicated airspeed, below 500 feet altitude, with a minimum 3-hour endurance, and controlled flight capability 20-25 nautical miles offshore in the Atlantic Ocean. The contractor must supply all qualified personnel for transportation, assembly, launch, operation, and recovery of UAS assets and ground support equipment.
The contractor shall execute four total training days during 22-26 June 2026: two days focused on "search and intercept" training sorties and two days focused on "intercept and kinetic engagement" sorties, culminating in the destruction of the four UAS targets. The contractor must designate a single point of contact to coordinate all operational and scheduling matters with the government's technical representative and attend all pre-mission briefings. Launch, recovery, and ground support operations will occur at Patrick Space Force Base, with air training operations conducted in designated airspace 12-25 nautical miles east over the Atlantic Ocean. The contractor is responsible for daily removal of company-generated waste and equipment from government facilities and must comply with all installation access, security, and identification requirements at Patrick Space Force Base. The Government will provide base access credentials, a briefing space, and airspace scheduling and deconflicting support.
