PURPOSE: Airworthiness Release (AWR) 1303 permits the installment of David Clark Passenger Intercom System (ICS) into UH-60A/L and UH/HH-60M aircrafts. To assist in managing command and control (C2), there is an opportunity to outfit existing aircraft with ICS. This system will offer local area orientation (LOA) access to direct communication internally and externally with key leaders. AWR 1303 outlines through appendixes for restrictions and operating information; configuration and installation details; and inspections, maintenance, and logbook instructions.
QUANTITY: Four complete systems.
Specifications for Passenger Intercom Systems
1. System series approved for installation into UH-60A/L and UH/HH-60M aircrafts.
2. System meets requirements to be active inside aircraft and not degrade or limit aircraft capabilities or aircrew communication systems.
3. System can be installed in both aircraft and building facilities to allow for alternate C2 means.
4. ICS should reasonably be able to uninstall and reinstall to meet changing mission requirements to facilitate multiple means of communication between user and aircraft when necessary.
5. Delivers the means for no less than 10 passengers/personnel to utilize the system simultaneously.
6. Provides aircraft passengers the ability to communicate directly with other passengers.
7. Communication package includes master station, headset and headset cables, power cords, headset microphones, and necessary installation cables and accessories.
8. Access feeds and communication through system to provide local area orientation.
