About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Education's Bureau of General Services, detailing a procurement for access control system maintenance and licensing services. The solicitation seeks a 39-month contract with Redwire, LLC to provide monthly maintenance, licensing, and support services for an existing access control system, with the intent to extend system coverage to unserved portions of the department's offices. The opportunity was posted on June 20, 2025, and will remain open for vendor responses until July 14, 2025, at 9:30 AM, during which time prospective vendors are invited to provide information about their service capabilities.
The estimated contract value is $270,000.00, with the justification for single-source procurement based on Redwire's status as the original provider of the access control system in the Turlington Building and their unique technical competencies required to support the system. The procurement covers NAICS codes related to access control system installation services, building and facility construction maintenance, and specialized trade construction services. The contract has been approved by William Willis, Bureau Chief of General Services, and Lou Anne Standley, Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Operations, with the understanding that Redwire is the sole provider capable of maintaining the current technological infrastructure.
