About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) document from the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of General Services, seeking access control system maintenance, licensing, and support services for a 39-month term. The document, posted on 6/20/2025, requests monthly maintenance and support for an existing access control system in the Turlington Building, with the intent to extend the system to unserved portions of the department's offices. The solicitation will remain open for responses until 7/14/2025 at 9:30 AM, inviting prospective vendors to provide information about their ability to supply the described services.

The estimated dollar amount for this single-source procurement is $270,000.00, with Redwire, LLC identified as the intended single source provider. The justification for sole-source selection is that Redwire currently manages and maintains the existing access control system and is the original provider with the necessary technical competencies to support the system. The document indicates that if no alternative vendors can provide equivalent services, the Florida Department of Education will proceed with a single-source purchase contract with Redwire, subject to review and approval by William Willis, Bureau Chief of General Services, and Lou Anne Standley, Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Operations.
