This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) document from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, targeting a marketing program with Publix Supermarkets, Inc. The document outlines a "Fresh from Florida" Grocery Retailer Marketing Program to promote Florida agricultural products through various marketing channels, including weekly online sale flyers, in-store signage, promotions, and social media posts. The contract is set to run from the date of execution through June 30, 2026, with an approximate contract amount of $100,000.00 and a total estimated budget of up to $200,000.00.
Publix Supermarkets is identified as the sole source for this marketing initiative due to its extensive network of 1,282 stores across the Southeast United States and its status as the largest retailer of Florida seafood products. The program aims to generate additional retail sales for Florida agricultural commodities through various advertising and promotional methods, in compliance with the Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign Act. The vendor must be a non-paid member of the "Fresh From Florida" Industry Membership program, and the marketing efforts will focus on promoting Florida produce, seafood, meat, and horticulture within Publix store locations.
