About this file

This document is a Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) for a specialized bedding solution. The procurement seeks a unique "All In One" mattress-blanket combination from Bob Barker Company, specifically designed for correctional and detention facilities. The procurement was posted on June 11, 2025, with a submission deadline of June 27, 2025, following a standard 15-business day posting period. The product is classified under UNSPSC code 56101508 for mattress or sleep set, originating from the Detention Headquarters, with an estimated contract value of $50,000.

The mattress-blanket combination features a 35" W x 75" L design constructed with two-ply 650 denier polyester quilted fabric, a poly core inserted between layers, a self-contained pillow, and Sherwood green stain-resistant fabric. The product must meet California flammability standards (CA 117 Section C & CPAI 84) and is sewn with double-needle, locking-stitch techniques using 100% bonded nylon thread. Key approving officials include Michael Watson (Purchasing), Mary Anderson (Detention), and Jack Finley (Detention). The procurement follows Florida Statutes sections 120.57(3) and 287.057(3), ensuring transparency in the single-source procurement process, and vendors can file protests via mail to the agency's Tallahassee address.
