About this file

This is a Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) document from the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) seeking to acquire a specialized mattress product. The document describes a blanket and mattress combination set intended for use when regular bedding is unavailable, with a proposed single source vendor of Bob Barker. The procurement is estimated at $50,000 and was posted on 6-11-2025, with a standard 15-business day posting period for potential vendor responses. The commodity is classified under UNSPSC code 56101508 for mattress or sleep set, and the request originates from the Detention Headquarters.

The procurement process allows for potential vendors to provide information regarding their ability to supply the described commodities, with the agency reserving the right to confirm single-source status after reviewing submitted information. Key approving officials include Michael Watson (Purchasing), Mary Anderson (Detention), and Jack Finley (Detention). Vendors can file protests via mail to the agency's Tallahassee address, with failure to file within prescribed timeframes constituting a waiver of proceedings. The document follows Florida Statutes sections 120.57(3) and 287.057(3), ensuring transparency in the single-source procurement process.
