About this file

This is a federal menu specification document for Q4 FY2026 Produce & Eggs for what appears to be an institutional food service operation. The document outlines 17 line items across two product categories: Eggs (1 item) and Fresh Produce including fruits and vegetables (16 items).

The specifications detail precise requirements for each product, including grade standards, size parameters, packaging preferences, and estimated quarterly quantities. Key items include 377 cases of Grade A Medium eggs; 980 cases of bananas; 1,050 cases of assorted fresh fruit; 8,150 lbs of cabbage; and quantities of carrots, celery, cilantro, cucumbers, lettuce varieties, onions, peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, green onions, and spinach. All products must comply exactly with the National Menu Specifications provided; no substitutions are permitted. The document emphasizes that products must be awarded on an "all or none" basis, and vendors must state the specific item and case size for items where options are available (such as PRO3 Fresh Fruit). The quantities are estimated with notice to be provided for changes. Products need not be sourced from the United States or Canada unless explicitly specified, and may be distributed from foreign countries if distributed within the United States.
