About this file

This Price Proposal Form is part of a request for proposals issued by MassDOT Rail and Transit Division for the manufacture and delivery of ADA-compliant transit vans up to 29 feet in length that comply with 49 CFR Part 38 accessibility specifications. The procurement seeks proposals for minivans, vans, vehicles built on cutaway chassis, or purpose-built vehicles, with resulting contracts permitting MassDOT RTD and other eligible entities to issue purchase orders. Proposers must complete the Price Proposal Form and submit it in accordance with RFP Section 3.10.3, providing proposed vehicle information including the vehicle make/model, propulsion type, passenger capacity, and mobility device securement spaces.

Proposers must submit pricing in US dollars for both the base vehicle and the MBTA-specific vehicle variant, which includes specific equipment such as a powered operator's seat, plexiglass operator's barrier, Romeo RIM bumpers, a 34-inch by 54-inch lift platform, and at least 110 linear feet of securement track. The proposal must also include unit pricing for an extensive list of spare parts including engine, transmission, air conditioning components, axles, doors, windows, compressors, radiators, starters, alternators, fuel tanks, steering components, bumpers, destination signs, wheelchair lift assemblies, and passenger seating. Additionally, proposers may offer vehicle add-on options such as exterior LED lights, modified paint schemes, additional spare tire assemblies, air purification systems, automatic vehicle location systems, bike racks, collision avoidance systems, cruise control, emergency egress roof hatches, and fare collection systems, along with extended warranty options beyond the minimum warranty requirements specified in the RFP.
