About this file
This document is a pre-proposal presentation for a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) for Structured Cable and Wiring Materials and Services Inside Plant. The RFP covers two functional areas: Functional Area I for structured cabling and wiring systems inside state premises and between adjacent buildings, and Functional Area II for site survey and system analysis inside state premises and adjacent buildings. The RFP has a pre-proposal conference on July 19, 2023, a question deadline of July 28, 2023, and proposal due date of September 12, 2023. Multiple awards will be made to the most advantageous offerors, with technical and financial proposals weighted equally. The Master Contracts will have a five-year term with no renewal options.
The RFP includes a 10% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) subcontracting goal and is not designated as a Small Business Reserve (SBR) procurement, though individual Purchase Order Request for Proposals (PORFPs) may be so designated. Offerors must submit technical and financial proposals separately, and exceptions to the State's terms and conditions must be clearly identified. The evaluation criteria prioritize the technical response, personnel qualifications, and offeror capabilities.
