About this file
This document is Amendment #1 to a Request for Proposals (RFP) from the State of Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) for Structured Cable and Wiring Materials and Services Inside Plant. The RFP seeks to procure structured cable and wiring products and services for state agencies, with the scope encompassing two functional areas: Functional Area I for structured cabling and wiring systems inside state premises and between adjacent buildings, and Functional Area II for site survey and system analysis services. The amendment revises sections related to installation services, system analysis services, financial proposal evaluation criteria, problem escalation procedures, and key personnel requirements. It also clarifies definitions around fully loaded labor rates. The RFP has a contract term of five years.
Regarding pricing, the amendment states that financial proposals will be evaluated separately, and offerors must provide prices for contract years one through five, which will be the maximum prices the state will pay. Master contractors will not be allowed to propose a labor service category to a Purchase Order Request for Proposal (PORFP) for which prices were not provided in the original proposal. There are no details provided on any set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or sources.
