About this file
This document is a preliminary design set for the Crown Point Trail and Parking Area project for the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration in Valley County, Idaho. The project involves trail grading, slope repair, base preparation, paving, and signage along a 2.80-mile trail corridor. Key design elements include multiple trail sections (Crown Point Trail, Beach Access Trails), turnouts, parking areas, special rock embankments, drainage chutes, erosion control measures, vault toilet facilities, and temporary traffic control signage. The project will construct trail segments with stabilized aggregate surfaces, implement accessibility features, and includes detailed grading, cross-slope, and construction limit plans for various trail sections. The design covers sites from MP 0.00 to MP 2.70, with specific focus on trail construction, parking lot design, and environmental mitigation strategies like silt fencing and fiber roll erosion control.

To precisely check distances between points as measured on the ground, inverse the state plane coordinates and divide the computed distance by a mean combined factor of the two points.
The published “Pier 1” elevation is 2.908 feet lower than an OPUS derived NAVD88 elevation of 4848.517.
