About this file
This document is a Questions & Answers (Q&A) clarification for federal contract procurement PR16166581 issued by the Embassy of the United States of America's General Services Office (GSO) Contracting Unit in Bogotá, Colombia, dated August 13, 2026. The procurement concerns the acquisition of E-Cargo VAN vehicles.
The clarifications address five key procurement requirements: (1) Total Quantity—the Embassy requires two units only, not a single vehicle; (2) Maintenance and Warranty Requirements—suppliers must have authorized maintenance and service facilities in Bogotá, with specific warranty requirements for the vehicle, battery, and electric drivetrain to be confirmed; (3) Charging Equipment and Installation—a wall-mounted charging station (Wallbox) is not required; suppliers need only provide the vehicle with its standard portable charging cable; (4) Delivery Schedule—delivery must occur within 30 days following contract award, with no flexibility for extended manufacturer lead times; and (5) Vehicle Color and Embassy Markings—no specific exterior color preference is mandated, and no Embassy markings, logos, decals, security features, or armoring are required. These responses establish binding requirements for prospective bidders responding to this electric commercial vehicle solicitation.
