About this file

This is a specification document issued by Okaloosa County Water & Sewer for the Pocahontas Lift Station Replacement Project in Okaloosa County, Florida. The project scope encompasses site preparation, furnishing and installation of a corrosion-proof polymer concrete precast wet well using the caisson method with tremie pour for the bottom seal, including clearing and grubbing, erosion and sedimentation controls, excavation, wet well assembly with retainer straps and watertight joints, tremie seal concrete, secondary pour installation with chamfered edges, buoyancy calculations, watertightness testing, and backfilling. The scope also requires furnishing and installing two approximately 25 HP submersible heavy-duty explosion-proof non-clog sewer pumps, base elbows, stainless steel discharge piping, guide rail systems, pump control panel, and all associated appurtenances and related work. The specifications detail comprehensive requirements for lift station construction including fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP) wetwell structures meeting ASTM-D3753 standards with minimum dynamic load rating of 16,000 ft-lbs, access frames rated at 300 lb/sq. ft., all fasteners and internal piping in 316 stainless steel, and submersible pumping equipment capable of handling raw unscreened sewage with automatic connection to discharge elbows and guide bar systems.
