About this file

This document is Addendum #1 to construction documents for the Lathrop State Park Pinon Campground Wastewater Project, issued by the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Wildlife, Southeast Regional Office. The project involves the design and installation of a wastewater force main system at Lathrop State Park, with deliverables including approximately 8,500 linear feet of 2-inch HDPE force main pipe, five gate valves, eight cleanouts, four air vacuum stations, two culvert crossings, utility crossings (potholing), three manhole installations, a lift station with two Sulzer ABS S26/2W Piranha pumps, and associated asphalt and trail repairs. The addendum extended the deadline for written questions to March 7, 2017 at 4:00 PM and the deadline for receipt of bids to March 10, 2017 at 4:00 PM. The project must be completed by June 30, 2017. Key clarifications from the mandatory pre-bid conference include approval of HDPE for casing pipe at Highway 160 crossing, designation of staging areas and soil waste stock pile areas, specifications for manhole construction, and confirmation that method of HDPE pipe installation is at the contractor's discretion where boring is not required.

The construction budget for the project is $600,000. The bid schedule includes a base bid with 23 line items and three add alternate bid items: Alternate #1 for a 400-linear-foot gravel driveway to the lift station (85 tons of Class 6 aggregate), Alternate #2 for a yard hydrant installation with approximately 650 linear feet of 1-inch HDPE waterline, and Alternate #3 for one backup pump. Bidders must certify minority business status, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business status (with SDVOSB certification required if claiming preference), and Colorado labor percentage. If the project cost exceeds $500,000, bidders must demonstrate that at least 80 percent of the workforce consists of Colorado labor or provide written justification. All addendums must be acknowledged in the bid response. The construction drawings were dated February 27, 2017, with revisions addressing staging areas, utility locates, cleanout additions, culvert modifications, and trail repair specifications.
