PIER ONE CRANE AUX DRIVE SOW

The main PLC software will have to checked as well as the software in the Aux Hoist drive and possibly rewrote. The crane has a operating system that is proprietary to Nidec we have spent an extended amount of time on the phone with their tech support trying to correct this issue, it has come to a point where Nidec has said there is nothing else they can do over the phone. At this point they need to be onsite to correct the issue. They are the only company that can assist with this issue due to the proprietary operating system being designed and programmed by them. The ACCel500 AC Drive hardware line and associated products and components contain software designed and maintained by Nidec Industrial Solutions (NIS). Nidec Industrial Solutions is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the ACCel500 product line. The equipment contains proprietary hardware and software designs owned by NIS. The ACCel500 AC hardware, associated products and components are used in the Crane Control Systems of multiple Cranes at the USCG Curtis Bay facility. As such NIS is the sole-source provider of new assemblies and components for the ACCel500 product line. NIS also provides service, repairs, and training for said equipment. There are no authorized 3rd parties for any new equipment, service, repairs, or training. Included in this product line are models beginning with ACC
