About this file

This document is an application checklist for the FY 2024 Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure and Safety Modernization Grant Program, a federal grant opportunity offered by the Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).

The checklist outlines the key required components of the grant application, including a cover letter, project summary, detailed project description, projected outputs and objectives, budget narrative, information on underserved communities, and standard federal forms. It provides guidance on the level of detail and supporting documentation needed for each section. The grant opportunity aims to assist municipality or community owned utilities in repairing, rehabilitating, or replacing high-risk, actively leaking, or leak-prone natural gas distribution infrastructure. The application deadline and award details are not specified in this document. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the full Notice of Funding Opportunity for complete requirements.
