About this file

This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) for a trailer-mounted 4-inch fish pump. The solicitation seeks to procure a single fish pump system designed for safely transferring live fish into transport trucks, with a delivery deadline of June 30, 2025. The quotation is due by April 8, 2025, at 12 PM PST, and vendors are required to complete an 11-page specification document. The pump system includes a cast aluminum pumping body, electric-powered system (230V, 1PH, 50/60 Hz), a single-axle powder-coated steel trailer, and a control system with variable speed settings. Additional optional equipment is available, such as a speed display remote control, diesel generator, and various hose and fitting configurations.

The RFQ includes provisions for small businesses and veteran-owned businesses, with a potential 3% bid preference for vendors who do not require employees to sign mandatory arbitration clauses. The document emphasizes minimizing the use of products containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and requests packaging without color or dyes. Payment will be processed upon satisfactory delivery and acceptance of the goods, with the vendor providing a proper invoice. The solicitation follows Washington State procurement guidelines for contracts under $150,000 and is subject to the Build America Buy America Act, which requires that iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials be produced in the United States.
