About this file

This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for remote chlorine monitoring systems at Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Brecksville, Ohio, issued by the National Park Service with a performance deadline of February 27, 2026.

The contractor must furnish, install, and configure nine complete remote chlorine monitoring systems at designated park locations to monitor free chlorine residual in potable water delivered to cisterns serving various facilities. Each system shall include a reagentless chlorine analyzer (Halogen HaloSense, Hach 9185 sc, or equivalent), an IIoT-capable RTU/field controller (MyDro 150/850, Mission M800, or equivalent), cloud-based telemetry via Mission Communications 123SCADA or iQ2 Remote Water Monitoring platform, secure cellular connectivity, and associated sampling line components. The analyzer must meet 0–5 mg/L measurement range with ±5% accuracy and comply with NSF 61 and ANSI/NSF standards. Six locations have existing 120 VAC dedicated outlets; three require new outlet installation by the contractor per NEC standards. All installations must be indoors in climate-controlled utility spaces with connection to NPS-approved potable water piping. System configuration options include integration with existing Mission Communications infrastructure or deployment on the new iQ2 platform with 5-minute data transmission intervals and encrypted communications. Deliverables include calibration reports with QA/QC certificates, web tool access credentials, training materials, operation and maintenance manuals, and one-year subscriptions to web portals and associated data plans. The contractor must complete all work within 90 calendar days, conduct on-site training for federal personnel, perform 24-hour commissioning verification with handheld grab sample comparison, and provide a one-year workmanship warranty. Work must occur during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday) with prior approval for other times, coordinate water shutdowns 72 hours in advance, and comply with National Park Service rules, environmental regulations, OSHA requirements, and NFPA fire safety standards.
