About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details repair and calibration requirements for two pull test machines at Naval Station Norfolk and Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic (NAVFAC) seeks a contractor to perform specific tasks including: replacing guard hinge points, guard arms, pins, and guard cylinders; and conducting calibration services meeting ASTM E4 standards. The work involves repairing Chant 225k and 300K Pull Test Machines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (NAVFAC P-307, ASME B30 series, and EM385).
Key performance specifications include providing all necessary tools, materials, and transportation for calibration, with NAVFAC assisting in load cell placement. The contractor must supply documentation verifying calibration, mark machines with new expiration dates, and ensure load test software functions correctly. The period of performance is 90 days from contract award, with work to be completed at the specified naval bases. The solicitation indicates this is a potential sole source procurement targeting Chant Engineering Co Inc, the original equipment manufacturer, with quotes due by 2:00 PM EST on 12 May 2025.
