About this file
This is a Performance Work Statement for cold storage rental services issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DDSI). The contractor shall provide one 20-foot refrigerated/freezer trailer for an 8-month lease period. The trailer must include a lockable door system, an access ramp for manual pallet jack operation, and adjustable temperature capabilities ranging from +30 degrees to -30 degrees Celsius. Prior to delivery, the contractor must confirm proper electrical connections are available at the delivery site and provide an alternative backup power source in the event of power failure.
Delivery must be completed on or by November 15, 2026, to a U.S. military site in the Catania Region of Sicily, Italy. The contractor is responsible for unloading the trailer from the truck, connecting it to the power grid, installing safety covers for power cords, and providing maintenance and operating instructions in English. Government acceptance requires verification that the trailer meets technical specifications, is safely positioned and operational with temperature control verified, has safety covers installed, and contains no obvious safety defects. Throughout the lease period, the contractor shall maintain the unit in full operational condition, with repair response times of 24-48 hours in the event of failure. At contract completion, the contractor is responsible for reloading the trailer onto a truck and disconnecting it from the power grid. The government retains the right to extend the lease beyond the estimated 8-month period if needed.
