About this file
This document is a Faithful Performance Bond for the County of Orange, California, which serves as a financial guarantee for a contract. The bond is a standard legal instrument that ensures the principal (contractor) will fulfill all contractual obligations as specified in the underlying agreement. The bond provides protection for the County, guaranteeing that if the contractor fails to meet contract requirements, the surety company will be responsible for covering potential financial losses or completing the contracted work.
The bond includes standard legal provisions that outline the conditions of the obligation, including the principal's requirement to perform all contract terms, indemnify and defend the County, and maintain the bond's validity even if contract terms are modified. The document includes spaces for signatures from the contractor, surety company, and County representatives, with specific instructions about corporate signing requirements according to California Corporations Code section 313. The bond will become void if the principal successfully completes all contractual obligations, but remains in full force if those obligations are not met, with the surety potentially liable for costs and expenses related to enforcing the contract.
