About this file
The document is an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Authorization Form from the County of Orange, California, designed to facilitate faster and more secure payment processing for vendors doing business with the county. The form allows vendors to sign up for direct deposit payments, eliminating the need for paper checks and providing quicker access to funds. Vendors can set up EFT by completing the form, which requires details such as banking information, account type, and contact information for the vendor.
The EFT process is free and offered as a convenience to vendors, with several noted benefits including faster fund access, avoidance of postal delays, email payment confirmations, and enhanced security (studies suggest EFTs are 7 times more secure than check payments). The form must be submitted with an original voided check or savings withdrawal slip to the Orange County Auditor-Controller's Claims Compliance Unit, located at 1770 N. Broadway, Santa Ana, CA 92706. Vendors can contact the Compliance Unit at (714) 834-3503 or email Admin.Vendor@ac.ocgov.com for questions about the EFT setup process.
