ProcurementTitle: PointClickCare Amendment - adding modules
BBREFNO.: 25-497DVA-CENTR-B-47656
thedetails: Per 1.2.2.23 of the contract for PointClickCare, "Ability to modify, add or remove sections modules" - IDVA is adding Integrated Labs and Mealtime Solutions and Care Quality modules to existing contract. Additional modules in PointClickCare were not foreseeable at the signing of the contract. With continued organizational changes and software upgrades, new modules are necessary to provide essential care to our veterans. Healthcare regulation changes and the development of new modules in PointClickCare are inevitable, requiring the organization to change with them. Mealtime Solutions needs added to all 5 homes. The homes had no active system for their dietary departments. It was mostly spreadsheets through Excel. Mealtime Solutions has the capability to assist with menu management, inventory, dietary restrictions and will eventually have the option for digital ordering of meals by our residents. Integrated Labs reduces the paper trail and brings the files directly to the resident record in PointClickCare. This is only for those facilities who have the option to integrate depending on their vendor. Not all homes are integrated as some vendors do not have agreements with PointClickCare. This is an ongoing project. It also includes radiology. Care Quality is being added due to a regulation requirement change - it will send resident records from hospitals back to the facilities. Per the HFS website: HealthChoice Illinois ADT/HFS: Pursuant to Federal CMS Interoperability and Patient Access Final Rule, all hospitals including psychiatric and critical access hospitals, with EHR systems capable of doing so, must send electronic event notifications of admissions and discharges to/from the emergency department and inpatient units to providers responsible for the patient's treatment or care coordination. The HFS HealthChoice Illinois ADT system aligns with the CMS requirements under this federal rule.
