About this file
The document is a Payment Bond for the City of Santa Monica, California, specifically related to a contract for airport access control system services. The bond is structured under Civil Code Section 9550 and serves to secure payment claims for contractors, subcontractors, laborers, and materialmen involved in the contract. The bond covers 100% of the contract amount and provides financial protection for parties performing work under the contract, with provisions for attorney's fees and legal recourse.
The related contract opportunity involves the Santa Monica Airport seeking bids from BRIVO authorized vendors to service and repair airport security gates and access control systems. The vendor will be required to provide comprehensive maintenance, repair, and service for city-owned gates and BRIVO-related equipment, including electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Critical performance requirements include the ability to respond to emergency callouts within 2 hours and maintain 24/7 phone accessibility. The scope encompasses furnishing all necessary labor, parts, materials, equipment, and supervision for gate controllers, access badge readers, and related items on both an as-needed and preventive maintenance basis.
