About this file
This document is a Scope of Work for the City of Atlanta's Department of Transportation in support of the PATH400 Trail Extension project. The project encompasses the construction of approximately 0.47 miles of multi-use trail and cycling infrastructure across the Peachtree Park and Adina Drive segments. Work includes concrete trails, side paths, on-street cycle tracks, drainage improvements, traffic control measures, utility coordination, ADA-compliant features, signage, pavement markings, erosion control measures, and associated demolition and restoration activities. The procurement process will utilize a multi-step competitive sealed bid approach consisting of a pre-qualification phase followed by an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Pre-qualified vendors must demonstrate experience constructing multi-use trails, shared-use paths, bicycle facilities, streetscape projects, and transportation infrastructure of similar size and complexity. The City anticipates holding a Pre-Solicitation Conference to provide additional project details and address vendor inquiries.
Selected contractors will be responsible for effective project management and coordination while ensuring compliance with City of Atlanta specifications, Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) standards, ADA requirements, and all approved construction plans. Vendors must demonstrate capacity to deliver the project safely, on schedule, and in full accordance with specified requirements. The procurement process emphasizes identifying qualified contractors capable of managing the technical and logistical complexities inherent in urban trail construction and bicycle infrastructure development.
