About this file
Part G: Supplemental Conditions is a contract document for the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) Campus Lighting Relay Cabinet and Controls Replacement project. The document outlines detailed requirements for contractors, including a 700-calendar day construction timeline with substantial completion expected 30 calendar days after substantial completion. The project involves comprehensive lighting system upgrades, with work restricted by the Convention Center's active event schedule, requiring contractors to perform many tasks in back-of-house locations and schedule work around show activities. Contractors must comply with strict security protocols, including FDLE Level 1 background checks for all staff, obtaining photo ID badges, and following specific communication and reporting requirements.
The project has an estimated cost of $16,485,202.00 and requires electronic bid submission through the OpenGov e-Procurement Platform by August 16, 2022, at 4:00 pm EST. Contractors are responsible for numerous operational details, including daily and monthly reporting via e-Builder, managing work restrictions, coordinating utility improvements, and handling equipment and material installations. Liquidated damages are specified at $1,200 per day for substantial completion delays and $750 per day for final completion delays. The document emphasizes the Convention Center's complex operational environment, with shows booked years in advance, and requires contractors to be highly flexible and coordinated with the OCCC Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle.
