IT-6-05 Let's Go 6.1 Provisioning In St. Louis

Interactive - Visitors are offered 2 -3 options to play this interpretive game:

they can choose an early date or a later date with a guidebook and limited funds on either Oregon or California trails. The goal is buy provisions and see if they would have successfully made it out West. For example, visitors inherit money or sell assets to fund a trip (approximately $12,000, which is $500,000 in 2013). They must buy appropriate provisions from a list to prepare for the trip. A time-based element could be included- you have 3 weeks before you start the trip- buy what you can in time. Everything on the list cannot be purchased with the available funds. Visitors hit 'Take the trip'- If the visitor has not purchased wisely they will not make it to their destination.
