Q2: How wide is the survey footprint?
A2: It is a variable footprint including the national historic landmark roughly estimated at
20 miles in length and 1 mile in width.
Q3: How much of the ¿associated area¿ (mines, railroads, etc.) is expected to be documented during the archaeological survey?
A3: Only resources in the footprint of the White
Pass Trail are expected to be documented during the survey.
Q4: The survey and research are supposed to begin at Moore¿s in Skagway. Does that mean that the buildings in Skagway need site condition assessments?
A4: No, they have current condition assessments.
Q5: The RFP mentions a ¿site visit¿ in the first year of research. Does that mean Skagway, or does that mean a meeting with the Anchorage NPS staff?
A5: That will be in Skagway.
Q6: Are helicopters allowed?

A6: No, there are complications with no landing zones and height restrictions due to wildlife.
Q7: Can NPS give us any idea of what sort of budget they are considering for this?
A7: The budget for this project will not be disclosed during the solicitation phase. FAR
15.306(e)(3) states, ¿It is also permissible, at the Government¿s discretion, to indicate to all offerors the cost or price that the Government¿s price analysis, market research, and other reviews have identified as reasonable.¿ In the event the Government determines that exchanges with offerors is appropriate and necessary, consideration will be given to providing this information. However, FAR 52.212-1 is included in this solicitation as the Government intends to award a contract without discussions.
