Questions for Industry Day Contractors:
One on One meetings – July 09, 2025; P-1080 Utility Resiliency PNSY Your responses will be reviewed during these one on one sessions allowing an opportunity to expand on your concerns as well as ask additional questions.
1. Based upon the project presentation, what are your top 3 overall project concerns?
2. Based on the construction time frame presented in the schedule milestones,
a. Is the planned schedule achievable?
b. What do you consider to be the most critical or at risk elements of the planned project schedule?
3. What elements of construction concern you the most?
4. Do you have any recommendations that would increase the likelihood of meeting the planned project schedule within budget?
5. What elements of the project environmental requirements concern you most?
6. Given current pricing volatility, how much value does an Economic Price Adjustment provide?
Would it have a positive impact on your assessment of project risk and interest in the project?
7. Do you anticipate that adherence to the Buy America Act may significantly impact procurement of higher value materials (specifically cost and lead time due to limited availability of US manufacturers) for this project ? If so, what items do you think would be impacted and what are the generally expected lead times and increased cost as a percentage compared to a foreign supplier?
8. Do you have any recent examples of extreme lead times for procurement of unique materials/equipment (generally mechanical and electrical) that are readily available in the US but have recently had longer than historically typical lead times? If so, what items do you think would be impacted and what are the generally expected lead times?
9. Would a fixed price contract to include an award-fee affect your interest in the project? If so, please provide the rationale to support this contract type.
