About this file

This document is a Statement of Need (SON) from the Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 19 Rocky Mountain Network for an Omnicell Automatic Dispensing Cabinet (ADC) system upgrade across multiple VA healthcare facilities in Colorado, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Montana, and Eastern Oklahoma. The upgrade encompasses Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 installation on pharmacy cabinets, Windows Server 2016 to Windows 2019 server upgrades, and Windows 7 AIO workstation updates at seven different VA medical centers and clinics.

The solicitation requires the vendor to provide comprehensive upgrade services, including necessary hardware and software modifications, labor for installation and configuration, new TRM chips for enhanced security, electronic user manuals, and professional services for clinical and technical implementation. The related federal contract opportunity (Solicitation Number 36C25925Q0261) indicates the VA Network Contracting Office 19 intends to award a sole-source contract to Omnicell, Inc., with responses due by April 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM Mountain Standard Time. Potential alternative vendors may submit written notifications demonstrating their capability to meet the requirements, though the government retains discretion in determining whether to compete the procurement.
