About this file
This document is a Single Source Justification form for a sole source procurement by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for DSS Pyxis IV Prep Software System Support. The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHCS) seeks to purchase Software as a Service (SaaS) for an existing proprietary Rx Framework Pyxis IV Prep Hardware System, which interfaces with VistA to support prescription medication dispensing. The estimated total cost is $55,213.80 for the base year and $110,126.98 for the base year plus four option years.
The procurement is being conducted as a sole source award to a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) under 38 U.S.C. 8127(b). A Request for Information (RFI) was published on SAM.gov, NASA SEWP, and GSA from 4/11/2025 to 4/22/2025, resulting in one response from the software developer (DSS) on SAM.gov and two responses from OEM authorized distributors. The justification notes that due to the proprietary nature of the software, only the software developer and authorized distributors can provide the needed service. The contract will be awarded to Minburn Technology Group, with the Contracting Officer certifying the justification on 6/9/2025.
