About this file
This document outlines the PIV (Personal Identity Verification) process for contracted employees at the VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System. The process requires potential employees to complete several pre-screening requirements including a company background check, immunization verification, and drug screening within 30 days. Employees must submit three forms to the COR, along with their email address and marital status. After verification, employees are entered into the system for sponsorship and scheduled for fingerprinting, which may occur in a mass session on Saturdays. Once fingerprinted and cleared by the PIV office, employees can begin work with the understanding that unfavorable background check results will result in immediate removal from campus.
