About this file
This document is a ballistic resistance test report prepared by U.S. Space & Defense for Clear-Armor LLC, related to a Florida State Attorney Public Defender contract opportunity for ballistic window film. The report contains test results for four transparent armor samples of varying thicknesses (1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, and 1 inch) tested on September 22, 2025, in accordance with UL 752 standards. Each sample underwent ballistic testing at different protection levels: Level 1 testing with 9-mm ammunition at 1,265 ft/s average velocity, Level 3 testing with .44 Magnum rounds at 1,382-1,396 ft/s average velocity, Level 7 testing with 5.56 x 45-mm ammunition at 3,251-3,278 ft/s average velocity, and Level 9 testing with .30-06 caliber ammunition at 2,817 ft/s. All test samples demonstrated no penetration across the three to five shots fired per thickness specification, with projectile yaw measurements of zero on all impacts, indicating successful ballistic resistance performance.
The test report documents materials specifications, environmental conditions during testing (ambient temperatures ranging from 68.6 to 68.9 degrees Fahrenheit with relative humidity between 46 and 49 percent), and ammunition lot information for traceability. Sample weights ranged from 15.180 lbs for the 1/4-inch panel to 41.160 lbs for the 3/4-inch panel, with all materials received via Fox Carrier on September 5, 2025. The testing was conducted by Element U.S. Space & Defense located in Belcamp, Maryland, with personnel including gunner Justin Long and recorder Joseph Gerdes, utilizing standardized velocity measurement screens and witness panels to validate ballistic resistance performance across multiple threat levels relevant to law enforcement protective applications.
