About this file
This Addendum #2 modifies the original contract documents for the Lasata Heights Apartments Renovation project issued by Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. The project involves renovation of 24 senior-living apartments across three floors at the Lasata Heights Apartments facility located at W78 N675 Wauwatosa Road, Cedarburg, Wisconsin, along with carpet replacement in common areas on all three floors. The addendum clarifies project specifications and unit distribution: Type A comprises 10 units, Type B comprises 6 units, Type C comprises 5 units, and Type D comprises 3 units. A minimum of three units will be worked on simultaneously, with one unit per floor level, and plumbing and venting lines are shared vertically between unit types on different floors. The sealed bid submission deadline was Thursday, December 2, 2021, by 10:00 AM local time at the Ozaukee County Administration Center, 121 W Main Street, Port Washington, Wisconsin. A pre-bid meeting was held on November 21, 2021, with an attendee sign-in sheet attached to the addendum.
The addendum provides clarifications on specific materials and installation requirements, including 2-1/4" prefinished oak colonial door casing, new dryer ducts with roof exhaust vents for each unit, carpet specifications for apartments using broadloom carpet and carpet tiles for corridors, and flooring specifications for units that include LVT-1 luxury vinyl tile in place of standard 12"x12" vinyl tiles, with contact information provided for the manufacturer (Kyle Reynolds, 608-863-3692). The general contractor is responsible for demolition work. Existing wood wall base in corridors is to remain in place during carpet replacement. The project is funded through the Community Development Block Grant Program, and bidders were required to submit a certified check or bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid as a bid guarantee.
