About this file
This Scope of Work Summary is from the Nevada Army National Guard's Construction and Facilities Management Office for a Generator Fuel Transfer Pump Replacement project located at the OTAG facility in Carson City, Nevada. The project seeks qualified contractors to safely remove the existing fuel transfer pump and install a new fuel transfer pump for a Baldor 60 Series diesel generator with 400KVA capacity. The contractor will be responsible for all materials, tools, hardware, and labor, including pre-installation fuel transfer, electrical disconnection, pump removal, new pump installation, electrical reconnection, testing, and proper disposal of removed materials.
The project involves a comprehensive replacement process with specific steps including fuel transfer, electrical lockout, pump and filter removal, new pump mounting, fuel line plumbing, electrical circuit installation, and thorough post-installation testing. The generator is a Baldor model 572RSL4027 with a Detroit engine, located at 2460 Fairview Dr. in Carson City. The scope requires the contractor to complete tasks such as pressure testing new piping, priming the fuel system, performing functionality tests, and conducting a simulated power outage to confirm proper generator and pump operation under load conditions.
