About this file

This is an options pricing document for grounds maintenance services provided by the City of Florida for North Parks, Playgrounds, and Other City Owned Properties. The document establishes unit prices that the selected awardee may use for calculating additional or optional maintenance tasks beyond the base contract scope. The optional services covered include mowing and cleanup, landscape bed maintenance, mulch application, herbicide treatment, tree pruning, fertilizer application (granular and liquid), sodding in multiple grass varieties, plant replacement, debris and trash removal, additional litter pickup, and exceptional special maintenance tasks. Each service category requires the bidder to submit specific unit pricing for individual line items, such as cost per one-tenth acre for mowing, per square foot for various bed maintenance tasks, per tree for pruning services, and hourly rates for special maintenance crew work.

The pricing structure requires bidders to supply unit prices for all optional services with detailed cost breakdowns. For mulch application, bidders must provide both the cost of materials and a markup percentage. For plant replacement, pricing includes both the cost of plant material and landscape labor on a per-man-hour basis. Debris removal is priced per ton, and special maintenance tasks are charged on an hourly basis at a rate per worker. The document specifies that this options page will not be part of the final award but will serve as a reference document for calculating costs should the City request additional maintenance tasks beyond the base contract scope. All work must be performed to the satisfaction of the Parks and Recreation Department representative using only the best quality materials and workmanship, with the awardee responsible for all labor, equipment, materials, and site cleanup.
