About this file

This is an options pricing document for North Parks, Playgrounds, and Other City Owned Properties Grounds Maintenance services in Florida. The document provides unit pricing structures for additional maintenance tasks that may be required beyond the base contract award, though the options page itself will not constitute part of the final award. The scope encompasses turf mowing, landscape bed maintenance, mulching, herbicide application, tree pruning, fertilizer application, sodding, plant replacement, debris removal, and miscellaneous special maintenance services at city-owned parks and properties.

The pricing structure requires bidders to submit unit prices for eleven categories of optional maintenance work, including mowing per one-tenth acre, landscape bed weeding and shrub pruning per square foot, mulch installation with separate markup percentages, herbicide treatment for various areas, tree pruning by size category, soil testing and fertilizer application per acre, sodding by grass type per square foot, plant replacement with labor and material costs, debris removal by ton weight, additional litter pickup per cycle, and hourly rates for exceptional maintenance tasks. The document specifies that mulch application is anticipated annually but actual quantities may vary, and that the typical special maintenance crew would consist of four persons with equipment charged on an hourly basis per worker.
