About this file
This is an answer document to vendor questions regarding existing site conditions for a federal door replacement contract. The document provides detailed technical specifications for two door assemblies requiring replacement: a CG entrance double door made of aluminum with out-swing operation requiring full frame replacement, and a CG patio single door made of steel with in-swing right hand active operation also requiring full frame replacement.
The existing access control infrastructure includes HID IClass R40 Wall Readers, with the metal patio door having an electric strike and the glass door equipped with an electric crash bar. The security system operates through hardwired connections to the panel, and the government prefers Lenel-certified vendors since Lenel is their current access control system. Power and wiring are already available at both locations with no constraints on reusing existing electrical systems. The emergency egress hardware must operate in fail-secure mode, though specific panic hardware details are unknown. This information supports the CG Office Glass Doors Replacement solicitation (Office_Glass_Doors_Replacement) managed by the Department of the Army Materiel Command, with quotes due August 22, 2025 at 2pm EST and a site visit scheduled for August 15, 2025 at 1pm.
