Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Hanscom AFB, MA Operational Contracting Division.
This is a notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source contract to IBControls, Inc.
The intent of this requirement is to provide regular preventive maintenance and timely repairs to the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Chilled Beam System and system controls. This action will provide seasonal comfort and mitigate system malfunctions by maintaining temperature, humidity, and eliminate condensation buildup in occupied spaces.
Additionally, this action will result in the training of base personnel by certified technicians, to restore, operate, and make programming changes to the existing HVAC system.
The 66th Air Base Group Civil Engineering (66 ABG/CE) Division at Hanscom AFB requires this service as it is essential for continued performance of the current HVAC system installed in building . The HVAC system is vital for maintaining a temperature-controlled environment for personnel and a malfunctioning system could create a hazardous working environment.
Additionally, delayed repairs or maintenance on the system can lead to more extensive damage.
The proposed contract action is to procure the specific services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of DAFFARS 5313.501.
