QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

The following is an answers to a questions received from potential offeror. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.

Question 1. The Performance Work Statement states “travel will allow crossing non-suspension bridges” does this preclude any travel via a suspension bridge?

Answer: Travel via suspension bridges is acceptable.

Question 2. There is a requirement to accommodate 30 passenger vehicles, a pick-up truck, 2 15 passenger vans, 4 mini-vans and 2 sedans, if there is a mandate to avoid suspension bridges, lodging accommodations are confined to the city of Philadelphia where parking is limited therefore rates are exorbitant ranging from $40.00-$50.00 per vehicle per day. As such, lodging rates that cover parking fees will exceed the daily per diem rate. Will you approve a separate line item for parking costs?

Answer: The solicitation states the cost of parking need to be included in the daily rate, so a separate line item will not be created for parking.

Question 3. The dates of occupancy cover a period of time when Hotels have limited availability due to graduations and proms, will you consider splitting Hotels to accommodate the number of rooms requested?

Answer: No splitting of hotels.

Question 4. Can the hotel be 22.3 miles and 36-50 minute commute?

Answer: Facility must be within 20 mile driving radius and the shipyard must not exceed one hour each way. Your quote will not be acceptable because it exceeds the 20 mile radius.

Question 5. Can you increase the mile radius to 25 miles due to the suspension bridge forcing the route to be longer for every hotel in South Jersey.

Answer: No

Question 6. I’d also like to ask if you can remove the stove and burner requirement, allowing refrigerator, microwaves, sinks and kitchen chairs and equipment.

Answer: No
