About this file

This document is a template for the Proposal Information Summary required for the USGS National Ground-Water Monitoring Network (NGWMN) Cooperative Agreement grant opportunity.

The template requires applicants to provide nine categories of information: (1) a short project title matching Form SF-424; (2) Principal Investigator/Technical Contact name and complete contact details; (3) Authorized Institutional/Financial Representative name and contact information; (4) the amount of Federal funding requested; (5) proposed start date between September 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026; (6) proposed project duration of either 12 or 24 months; (7) data provider status indicating whether the applicant is an existing NGWMN Data Provider or applying as a new provider; (8) a table displaying Federal funding, match funding, and total funding for each objective included in the proposal; and (9) the indirect rate used in proposal budgets, with a note that rates exceeding 15% require submission of a Negotiated Rate Agreement. This template serves as a standardized format to ensure consistent presentation of essential proposal information across all submissions to the USGS cooperative agreement program.
