Ques-ons and Clarifica-ons:

• Ques-on 1: On page 8 of the metal building specifica-ons it men-ons G90 coa-ng metal sheets but it doesn’t say what for. On pages 11 & 12 of that same specifica-on it men-ons G90 coated panels for the roof and walls, is it a corrosive environment or would ALZN panels be fine as that would be much more cost effec-ve or we could do Kynar painted panels with color. Typically we only do G90 Galvanized primary and secondary frames for corrosive environments, not for the roof and wall panels unless absolutely necessary. Please clarify.

• Answer to Ques-on 1: G-90 coa-ng with Kynar paint for roof and wall panels is what is specified in the Stantec specs, since Kynar painted panels are typically G-90 galvanized. ALZN usually have objec-onable color changes during weathering which results to uneven hues among adjacent panels, so these are not acceptable. G-90 with Kynar paint is required per Stantec’s standards/specs.

• Ques-on 2: They call for R-19 + R-11 liner system in the roof minimum, can we do a single layer that's the same R value?

• Answer to Ques-on 2: A single layer with the same R-value with liner system will not meet energy code requirements since a single layer does not retain it’s R-value when compressed and installed without thermal blocks. Therefore, single layer with the same R-value is not acceptable.

• Ques-on 3: Is all conduit in the new garage building and exis-ng filtra-on building to be GRC conduit?

• Answer to Ques-on 3: Provide conduit in accordance with specifica-on paragraph 26 05 33.3.2.

• Ques-on 4: There is a spec sec-on for heat trace in the electrical specs but I do not see a circuit for heat trace in the new panel? Is there any heat trace for this project?

• Answer to Ques-on 4: The project does not currently include heat trace. The specifica-on is included in case heat tracing is added to the project later.

• Ques-on 5: Sheet E601 - In the filtra-on building one line there is a conduit from TB to CS marked #48 but it is not in the conduit listed in the table under general note #3 what size conduit and wire is needed here?

• Answer to Ques-on 5: Conduit #48 fill is 4#14 which equals conduit 50 fill (16#14) minus two conduit 44 fills (2x6#14).

• Ques-on 6: Sheet E601 Where is the XR system, MF Rack, MF Rack1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 in the exis-ng filtra-on building?

• Answer to Ques-on 6: The XR tank and pump are located as shown on Drawing No. D-101 grid area C2 and D2, also shown on drawing D-102. The MF Racks are located as shown on Drawing

No. D-101 as follows: MF Rack 1 is in grid area C3; MF Rack 2/3/4/5 are in grid area B3; and MF

Rack 6 is in grid area A3.

• Ques-on 7: Sheet E601 In the exis-ng filtra-on building one line there are two (2) "TB" and two

(2) "CS" where are these located in the building?

• Answer to Ques-on 7: The Terminal Boxes and Control Sta-ons are to be mounted next to their respec-ve pump moun-ng pads similar to the exis-ng pump installa-ons in the building. Pump moun-ng pad loca-ons are shown on Drawing No. D-101 grid area C2 and D2, Drawing Nos. D-

102 and D-301.

• Ques-on 8: Sheet E601 In the exis-ng filtra-on building one line there is a conduit from the VFD

3510-1 & 2 that is labeled Devicenet, what conduit size and cables are we to provide? Also where does it go to?

• Answer to Ques-on 8: The Devicenet cable for VFD-3510-1 runs to the exis-ng VFD inside MCC-

101 that is the end of the line on that exis-ng Devicenet network. The Devicenet cable for VFD-

3510-2 runs to the exis-ng VFD inside MCC-102 that is the end of the line on that exis-ng

Devicenet network. The Owner’s system integrator The Automa-on Group (TAG) will iden-fy the

VFD in each MCC that is the end of that Devicenet network, and the exact type of Devicenet cable. Conduit to be 3/4" with elbows and pull fiQngs to avoid damaging the cable.

• Ques-on 9: Concerning the above project, on sheet E-601, there are a number of conduits that will need to be installed between the XR system components. ARer review of the plans, I am unable to locate several of the components in any of the plans; including what appears to be the

XR system control panel. Can you please advise as to the loca-on of all the XR system components shown on sheet E-601?

• Answer to Ques-on 9: The XR System will -e into the exis-ng membrane system control panel located in the electrical room. The panel is located on the same wall and between exis-ng MCC-

101 and MCC-102. The exis-ng MCC’s are shown on sheet D-101, grid area B3. The XR tank and pumps are located as shown on Drawing No. D-101 grid area C2 and D2, also shown on drawing

D-102. The MF Racks are located as shown on Drawing No. D-101 as follows: MF Rack 1 is in grid area C3; MF Rack 2/3/4/5 are in grid area B3; and MF Rack 6 is in grid area A3. See Appendix A of the contract documents for P&IDs of the membrane equipment and XR system.
