About this file
This is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) issued by Escambia County's Neighborhood and Human Services Department for a NED Home Rehab project located at 1612 Lepely Rd. The RFQ solicits quotes from licensed and insured general contractors for a residential rehabilitation project focusing on two primary scopes of work: roofing and electrical repairs. The project aims to make the owner-occupied, single-family residence safer, more energy efficient, and more accessible, in compliance with federal, state, and county laws. The solicitation was released on September 22, 2025, with a mandatory pre-quote meeting scheduled for September 26, 2025, at 9:00 am. Contractors must submit electronic quotes through OpenGov Procurement by October 1, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with quote reviews anticipated on October 2, 2025.
The RFQ includes detailed specifications for roofing work, which involves removing existing roof coverings, replacing damaged decking, installing new architectural shingles, and addressing various roof-related repairs. The electrical scope requires rewiring to meet national electrical code standards, potentially including new meter bases, breaker panels, outlets, switches, and LED fixtures. While no specific budget is provided in the document, contractors are required to submit pricing for roofing and electrical line items. New contractors must provide proof of Sunbiz registration, a W-9, and contractor licensure. The county may award line items separately, particularly for emergency roofing and septic/sewer services, and notes that there is no federal funding for this specific project.
