About this file
This document is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project in Escambia County, Florida, involving home renovation and equipment replacement. The scope includes comprehensive specifications for kitchen and bathroom fixtures, appliances, flooring, lighting, roofing, and electrical components, with specific brand and model requirements such as GE appliances, Delta faucets, Shaw flooring, and CertainTeed roofing materials. The project allows for repairs and replacements with strict guidelines, including using new braided supply lines, proper finishing techniques, and ensuring all electrical appliances are EnergyStar approved with LED bulbs.
The contract opportunity is managed by the Neighborhood Enterprise Division (NED) and open to licensed, insured general contractors in good standing with Escambia County. Contractors must submit bids through OPENGOV, with new contractors required to provide a letter of insurability. The county reserves the right to award line items separately, particularly for emergency services like roofing and septic/sewer repairs. Key specifications include using plywood cabinetry with solid hardwood fronts, square-edged laminate countertops, and maintaining strict standards for protecting homeowner property during renovation. The project emphasizes using like, similar, or equal-valued products while adhering to specific material and installation requirements.
