About this file
This solicitation is for roadway reconstruction services along 6 miles of the South Unit Scenic Loop Road within Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. The project includes construction of soldier pile walls at multiple locations to stabilize areas of road failure or risk of failure due to poor subgrade conditions, as well as lime stabilization of the subgrade. All existing culverts, drop inlets, and concrete curb and gutter will be replaced. The entire roadway will be paved with several pullouts and parking areas including concrete curb/gutter and sidewalks. Work will be performed while the road is closed to traffic and must account for environmental and cultural resource constraints. Services include excavation, borrow/waste activities, ground improvements, pipe and drainage installation, concrete work and asphalt paving. The estimated price range is $40-50 million. The solicitation is full and open competition under the Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration.
