Here is a response from my technical personnel and a rewritten SOW is attached to reflect the changes.

1. Section III.3 states “The spectrometer shall be shipped with auxiliary components to allow for powering from conventional U.S. power outlets (120VAC). Each piece of equipment shall not draw more than 10 amps at any time”

1.1. The FFT Spectrometer that we deliver has a PCIe x8 standard interface, as described in III.1.8, and plugs into a workstation PC and it’s power supply.

1.2. Therefore, this section is not applicable to our product.

• Response: The spectrometer shall be shipped with auxiliary components to allow for powering from conventional U.S. power outlets (120VAC) or being compatible with high-speed computer expansion interfaces, such as PCI-express. Each piece of equipment shall not draw more than 10 amps at any time.

2. Section IV, Warranty. Please be advised that there is no need for periodic scheduled maintenance or calibration of the FFT Spectrometer hardware. It does not apply. It will, however, be delivered with a certificate of compliance from the factory.

• Response: The Contractor shall provide, at a minimum, a three year warranty for the system.

The warranty shall cover all parts, labor, and return (from the manufacturer to NIST) shipping expenses.

The warranty shall commence upon delivery of the system. A certificate of compliance from the factory should be included in the delivery document.

3. Section III.2.4 states “Adjustable FFT size and data-acquisition time”. Our current product supports a single, fixed FFT size, chosen at the time of order. However, we can provide additional, fixed FFT sizes as an option. Each additional FFT size is enabled using a software command to load the applicable FPGA bitstream onto the FFT Spectrometer hardware. If requested, we can include two fixed FFT sizes in the quotation.

• Response: adjustable FFT with at least two different FFT sizes and adjustable data-acquisition time
