About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document dated 8 July 2026 that clarifies technical specifications and requirements for a federal contract opportunity involving a measurement system with lidar capabilities.

The procuring agency seeks a monolithic module—a single module mountable on a measurement system—designed for indoor operation with the ability to identify room features. The system must feature an adjustable frame rate with a maximum of 7 frames per second or faster, with an anticipated amendment to update frame rate specifications. Key technical requirements include a 360-degree azimuth coverage in elevation with a 120-degree field of view in elevation, angular resolution of 37 pixels per degree along one axis, and 60 megapixel capacity. The system must operate at 100 hertz for lidar module use and support multipass functionality. The application utilizes 3-centimeter wavelength technology with an operational range to approximately 100 meters. A smaller indoor target module is preferred, and a critical requirement is the ability to synchronize multiple systems. An amendment is anticipated to provide updated specifications, particularly regarding frame rate requirements.
