About this file

This document is a NAWCAD Long Range Acquisition Forecast (LRAF) for the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2026, providing an industry update on federal contract opportunities across Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) and related Program Executive Offices (PEOs).

The forecast details approximately 50 contract opportunities spanning multiple divisions and program offices, with anticipated contract values ranging from $50 million to $250 million annually and performance periods of 5 years. Key service areas include program management contractor support services, engineering and technical support, cybersecurity services, software development and sustainment, aircraft instrumentation support, and logistics services. Major divisions issuing requirements include RAPID CAPABILITY ENG GROUP (NAWCAD WOLF), DIGITAL ANALYTICS INFRASTRUCTURE & TECH ADV (DAiTA) GROUP, PEO offices (APM, TMP, and WPM designations), and specialized program offices for platforms including F/A-18, V-22 Osprey, H-1 and H-53 helicopters, E-2/C-2 airborne command systems, and various unmanned aircraft systems. Contract vehicles include IDIQs, task orders, and competitive follow-on awards. Notable set-asides include small business set-asides and women-owned small business preferences. Anticipated release and award dates span from FY26 through FY27, with strategic acquisition approaches including competitive procurements, re-competes, and new requirement solicitations published through the System for Award Management (SAM). Current incumbents include major defense contractors such as BAE Systems, Booz Allen Hamilton, Smartronix, and various smaller firms, with significant opportunities for both large prime contractors and small business vendors.
